Hi, my name is Witek and I just stopped to like the pentax.
I bought my Pentax k5 IIs something about 4 months ago and now I am really disappointed. I am not professional photographer but I love to take photos so it was very important for me to buy some good photo camera. Moments in life will not repeated. I was using different photo cameras, among others Pentax Optio MX4, Sony Alpha 300, Nikon 5100 and now I was thinking about full frame but, after reading a lot of good comments, I decided on K5 IIS and after 4 months it started to take wrong photos. Some of photos are like split on half horizontally, half photo is ok, half has wrong pink/violet colour, sometimes just horizontal line is seen in the middle of photo. This is the first photo camera which is behaving in this way for me. The newest, the best. How can you believe in the reliability? The best was to buy new one and go on holiday, or on the important party. I just want to say be very carefully when you decide to buy this one.

First of all welcome to Stefano, great to have you here.
In any case, welcome. Sorry to hear about your problem, why don't you have it serviced under warranty? Cameras are like any other electronic equipment, and there can be problems, the important thing is that they get addressed quickly!
But I do not think that full frame (or another brand for that matter) would have necessarily helped based on what happened recently:
Nikon D800 left focusing problem
Nikon D600 dust/oil spot issue
5D iii Light leak problem
As far as I know all recognised by the manufacturers.... So it can happen with any camera and brand.
