Thanx everyone, I really appreciate your comments. What i have been observing in the last couple of months with leica lenses is that the colours are very natural(Landscapes and portraits) exactly as seen with naked eyes.
to prove my point i will post a photo later today taken with my LX3. Its just i canot get these colours in any other camera or with anyother lens. BR

Welcome to the forum Jay.
I use Leica scopes on my rifles and they are exceptional.
I am not so sure that the issue of colour based on sensor/lens combination is so obvious?
Are you using straight from the camera without any adjustment?
I suppose it's a complement to Pentax that you say your best results have been with Pentax.
I use Pentax, Nikon and Minolta DSLR's with a smattering of Canon, Fuji and Olympus point & shoots. The colours from all of them differ. My Nikon certainly does not blow any colours up and in fact I normally boost saturation slightly. The Minolta has warm, film like colours. My istD, K10 and K7 are very neutral.
I do not set anything in the menus above Zero. So nothing short of flatlining.
I have looked at the picture in the gallery Jay, I expected an image taken with a Pentax body with a Nikkor lens?
For what it's worth, there are only several Nikkor lenses that are up to pentax standards as far as optical quality goes. There biggest attraction is the f/2.8 option. For that privalage, you will pay dearly.

First of all I am not a ctitique of Nikon, Sorry for my words earlier.
I do have a nikon camera but i hardly use it bcoz you can never get true colours at any given time on any occasion except if i compose v.well which needs lots of effort and time untill the golden moments pass by you and me. Whereas i have used the pentax and mostly got close to true colours. My earlier comment was the use of leica lenes on pentax camera.
I do not compose/digitise my fotos mostly. i like them straight from the camera as they are, thats the reason i shoot films also. Thanks once again do keep in touch. BR

Jay,
No offense taken. I do not defend any camera system. I use what I feel is better for me in different situations. I have often bought equipment because I liked the look of it and had never tried it first. K7 is an example.
