No it's looks OK you could have cleaned the glass first before taking the shot.

Not much chance of me touching whatever was on that glass thank you very much! Knighton (on the Welsh borders) seems a very clean place with very little graffiti but this shelter was seriously neglected. The town has a very odd feel about it which I couldn't quite come to terms with.

I don't think it is overdone and I like the photo. I depressing sense of decay, but it "speaks", if you know what I mean. Maybe, it would look good framed with a large border?
