Took this at a sculpture show at the weekend and quite liked it, what do you all think?

I think this is a welded sculpture, any chance of seeing the colour version :

I don't think the B&W does anything for it. Sorry

The colour version is what I thought it would look like, definitely preferred.

Why did you go for such a tight crop in the first image? There is nothing wrong with the original that would warrant a crop.
I love B&W images and I think this may work as a split-toned image, there is certainly a nice amount of texture and form that works well in B&W.
