Great Dixter (Tulip heavy !)

You've caught the flowers at their best, it was a great day to visit with soft light ideal for them. The best pictures are the second (for me) with real clarity to the textures on the building, and a nice balanced exposure with the sky held down well, and also 5 & 8 show off those flowers really well against their backgrounds.

The clarity and sky are, of course, thanks to your help when I was struggling with RAW files and you enlightened me on the use of PDCU4.
Nowadays I use PSE 11 and it's in-built Adobe Raw to adjust the RAW files, watching both the image and the histogram.
I've found that reducing the Highlights and increasing the Whites does wonders for dull cloudy skies ! (After some adjustment to Clarity and Contrast)
Thanks again
Peter

The entrance to the house. The oldest part is to the right with Lutyens extension to the left of the tall chimneys. The Yeomans Hall moved here from Benenden is behind the left side. The lean of the porch is because there were no foundations - the original buildings were just supported on large wooden planks !

This place is a must for keen gardeners and they have a nursery with plant sales and lots of exotic varieties that I'd never heard of !
All C&C welcome
