Graubünden Switzerland

I take a lot of photos, but I'm not so good a downloading and sharing them. I'm going to try and make more of an effort! Here are some from the weekend. Following the discussion on CCD vs CMOS I was mostly shooting with my old K10D, just to see what it was like. However, as the light turned out to be a bit dull, I think that was a bit of an error and I can pretty much confirm the K5ii is better in almost every respect!



Caumasee, Flims, Graubünden, Switzerland The K10D may be a bit long in the tooth, but DFA 100mm WR did a fantastic job here wide open at f/2.8.

Sagogn, Graubünden, Switzerland A break in the clouds illuminating the autumn colours. This is with the K5ii.





Oberalpass, Switzerland On the way back along the Oberalpass, reached the submit just too late for the best light, but the K5ii didn't make too bad a job.

Weird they have too, not sure what's happening there. I'll check my flickr permissions.

Sorry, don't know whats happening there. The links under the pics still work and flickr says "Anyone can see this photo". Maybe some problem with their website, it doesn't seem to have been super-reliable since the big upgrade.

If you click on the "Image" button below the message pane you can upload images directly into the forum. So no need to link to Flikr.

Its a failing of the forum John, that you cannot edit links. If a link gets broken on the Talkxxxxxxphy forum, I can simply go back into my OP and amend the links to the pic

I'll try to do this in future. It just takes a while to upload. It's much quicker to paste the flickr links.

I certainly think this would be a useful feature.

It's not a failing of the forum that made us limit the time available for making edits Alan, there were good reasons for it.

If you resize your images to the correct 800 pixels on the longest side and keep the file size to less that, say, 400K, then they load pretty quickly IMO. I actually use 1000 pixels and the forum software doesn't seem to damage them too much. I do that because 1000 is the EPZ e2 size, so it's convenient.
