This sounds a bit like a lense that may have been created for the Gold LX! I myself have a pentax fit set of these!
I have heard of lenses being gold plated. You may have one of a kind, any chance of posting a pic of it?

Dimitrov's website mentions a M35 F2.8 lens in gold here. but only mentions the F2. I am sure he would be interested in seeing a photo etc. An F2.8 version sold on ebay for £170.91 last March, an F2 version for £177.07 last February, and a 50mm F1.4 for £197.80 also last February.
Personally, I think the gold plated snake-skin covered LX is an ugly bit of kit, but none-the-less valuable and collectable.

There have been gold Spotmatics, LXs, Rolleiflexes, Rollei 35s and all sorts of others probably.
Would you actually use a gold plated camera? I have heard of wedding photographers doing so for the impact it has on their clients.
I once had one of the 500 Helmut Newton edition Rolleiflex 2,8GX cameras, but it seemed such a pity to spoil it by use that eventually I sold it to a collector.

See the instructions in the "your photos" forum. Basically the photo has to be on a website somewhere (e.g. flickr) and you post the link.

A pal of mine bought two of these link One to use and one to gaze at, both came in beautiful mahogany cases.

I already have 2 gold plated lense, now, do I need a third....
Edit - I will be surprised if it sells at this price, my two lenses, though there are 50 in existance, were a significant amount less and had to be re-listed to sell!

I agree too. I was just scanning Marktplaats for bargains when I saw it. I didn't find any bargains though

I recently got a very unique gold-plated 24carat pentax 35mm f2.0 pentax-m.
I cannot find anything on the internet about this lens.
It is a perfectly gold-plated lens. Optics and working: 100%.
It's really a very special and i'm sure very rare colectors object that works very well also on digital!
It must be plated in the pentaxfactory because it is perfectly done.
I would like to know the history from it. Does sb know it?
I hope you can help me.
