Glasgow City Chambers

I took the opportunity to revisit Glasgow City Chambers as it was open for the doors open day yesterday. When it was opened in 1889 it was 4 times over budget - so nothing changes.
The stairwells are Carrara marble



It could have been designed by Escher






The committee rooms are a trip back in time.




Each lord provost sits for a painting to record their tenure. A recent incumbent took the Harry Potter theme a bit too far.
