Geared head - Arca Swiss D4 - your opinion

Please share your experience with the Arca Swiss D4 ? This head is on my wish list as light weight geared head for hiking and travel. I currently use the Markins M20 but during still-life Macro-shoot I sometimes feel the need to manipulate just one dimension while keeping the rest constant. The Markins although excellent for every thing else doesn't afford me to do this :-/ . I have read plenty about and tried the Manfrotto 4xx line but was not satisfied with the weight/capability ratio. Any thoughts welcome.

Anyone ? Thoughts, Opinions, rants no ?
