Gallery rules

Should we have some sort of rules for posting shots in the gallery section vs. the normal thread section.

I mean it is "hard" to comment in both sections.

On other forums we use the "thread section" for snapshots and unlimeted uploads. And the gallery section for the best you can do....

Comments/thaughts??

Agreed. Six a day, or perhaps twenty a month.

We think that's the way to go too, but we want to stick with a limit on the main gallery because it should be your best. One a day can work really well.

I think anything that you want a lot of critique on, threaded, anything you're really pleased with, gallery.

If you want critique on something that you want in the gallery, get critique first then put in gallery

Or say you did a photoshoot, you post the whole shoot threaded, 1 or 2 favourites in gallery

And I agree, at least for the next month the upload should be around 3 a day rather than one.

call me a grumpy sod , but I have no desire to wade thu hundreds of mediochre snaps in the gallery, I think one a day is ample.

If this is really the reason, why not have it as an across-the-board limit for subscribers as well as non-subscribers?

Otherwise you are laying yourself open to accusations of disingenuousness.

One a day is not the same as thirty a month. I can see that people may wish to upload a few pictures, and it is tedious to have to do so over three or four days.

Why not an overall limit?
