How hard are you cropping?

My favourites are number 3 and 4. The expression of the motive in number three is quite amusing

I hope you have come to terms with your Sigma lens? I have no experience with long Sigma lenses, but your lens seems to produce good images

hi roger so what is wrong with those pictures then ,i think you must keep on going and get used to it and then see the results,it has taken me some time to get used to the lens but when you get it right it does look good ,im very envious of the swallow one they are very good. brian

Taken at approx. 6 metres, iso 3200, 400th sec. f9, 440mm, 95% crop. Didn't feel it was quite sharp enough though - should have used the tripod..

Mike, I've never really grasped the percentages thing with crops, so here's the full-frame, jpeg, straight from the camera of the tufty.

The others are roughly the same rate of crop.

Keep practicing. This lens is capable of much more.

My advice . . . get closer whenever possible and use a tripod or monopod.
