I have one pic on Flickr that has been picked as a favourite 28 times, yet there's not a single comment on it...it's also not one of my better aerial shots, yet recently it has started picking up a favourite every other day. And it was posted over a year ago...
I have another(even older) pic with 18 comments but no favourites.

Funny old flickr redux.
Just hit 100,000 views, so time for an update (just for fun, of course!)
Most viewed image is the one which was "explored" and was taken with my K20D and my SMC Pentax-M 100mm f/2.8 lens.
8 of the top 20 images are from Venice.
15 of the top 20 images were taken on film.
9 of the top 20 images were taken with my Lubitel 2 TLR, the remaining 6 were taken with my LX or my KX.
4 out of 5 digital images are pictures of cameras and/or lenses. The only "pictorial" image taken using digital in the top 20 is the first one.
5 of the images are BW, the rest colour.
I'm thinking of selling all my digital gear, buying an Epson V750 scanner and a mound'o 120 roll film...
And don't take that seriously either.

It may not be quite as popular as it was but I think dying is an exaggeration. They still seem to be getting several thousand images uploaded per minute and host over a billion. More importantly, many public organisations and archives use flickr. I also think that those of us who have a few thousand images on there, labelled, tagged and all that, are not going to lightly move to another service.
