Fungus in Lenses

Of all the lens that I have dismantled the M series are probably the easiest, as there are fewer small springs to lose.
Fungus is not that hard to remove, but it is my understanding that it will have most likely 'eaten' away at the coatings.
From the EBay picture it looks like the 1:1.4 to pretty badly affected.

I believe that older generation lenses are more susceptible. I have seen several cases on Pentax M and A series lens.
The coatings may have been changed to make them less 'tastey' on later series.

Common if you don't treat your equipment right or if it has not been used in a very long time.

Would these lenses be worth bidding on if the price was right (they all have fungus) I assume its not an easy task cleaning these or he would have cleaned them himself. I have never dismantled a lens before but if its not too difficult i would be willing to give it a try and re-sell them. Thx
