It depends on what you want.
I have a AF220T TTL flash which I bought together with my MZ-10 and I am now using it on my DS until I can afford a 360FGZ.
I would advise against third party flash units because I have had a lot of problems with third party flashes on Pentax camera's.

Golfdiesel,
Thank's for the reply I'll look for AF220T TTL. I'm only looking for a general use, snap shot range TTL flash which will mate with a Super Program. I agree that I'll stick with a Pentax unit.
By The Way - Tomorrow is Mar 1!
Can't wait to see what happens.

I used an AF-280T for many years with my Super-A. It benefits from swivel 'n tilt head (including 15 degrees below horizontal, useful for close work) and its a bit more powerful than the 220T. It has full TTL compatibility with the Super-A and it can be used as a manual gun with 2 levels of output, H & L. It doesn't do trailing curtain or contrast control. It's an excellent gun and available at reasonable prices on eBay. DO ASK about the condition of the battery compartment and contacts and battery compartment door latch (prone to cracking but available from Pentax and easy to change).

I agree. The 280T is an excellent gun.

Thank's Peter and George,
I see a ton of 280's on eBay - actually more than 220's and I can always use MORE POWER!
Thank's for the feedback.

I'm slowly acquiring gear to complete a Super Program I've been entrusted with. I have an f4 35 - 70 A Zoom working its way through customs and am now in the hunt for a decent dedicated flash which will utilize the Super Program's TTL(?) capabilities? (My manual is also on its way).
I'm just back from eBay where there is an overwhelming variety of Pentax TTL flash offerings, many of which I think are simply Thyristors which, of course are compatible with everything, and I already have two.
So, where do I come for advice?
Durn tootin'!
Thanks
