FS Tamron 90mm f2.8 di Macro Lens

I purchased this lens back in January- it was a grey import from Hong Kong. I have hardly used it and it is in mint condition. It comes packed in original box (also mint) and includes the usual -orignal front and rear caps, a drawstring pouch and a lens hood (all mint). I will also leave the UV filter on it (kenko).

I am not really wanting to sell it as it is the only macro I have, but the money will go toward a new DA*16-50.

I don't really do a lot of macro and have mainly used it as a medium telephoto where it is very sharp (I have recently bought a DA*50-135 to cover this focal length- it is wonderful so the Tamron is redundant).

I haven't sold on here before but have purchased. Please PM with any queries.

I am looking for £250 inclusive of postage (RMSD) or sensible offers.

Photos will be posted this evening.

When it comes from somewhere like HERE

Purchased outside of the UK so sometimes the maker will not honour any warranty.

Dave- it is not UK stock but purchased from a supplier called "Onestopdigital" who are based in Hong Kong- I bought it from them (check their website) and they mailed it directly to me so it has never officially been imported to the UK hence the phrase "grey import". The benefit is that the buyer pays less (but can end up paying import duty if it goes wrong I think but I did not)

The difference would primarily be that unlike UK stock there is no real warranty on this product (although Onestopdigital do say there is a 12month warranty with them but as they are in HK I cant see it being an easy process).

Onestopdigital will refund any duty if you happen to get caught by customs. Pretty good company actually.

you dont get any warranty with a grey import, but you get a better price just check there price out for Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Macro 1:1 Di Lens for Pentax £261.44 with free shipping...
so for that price you would be buying secondhand..

does it work fine? and what camera have you been using it with?
if i'm not mistaken i think this one doesnt work very well with the Kx (correct me if i'm wrong!).
might be tempted otherwise (although i dont need it but macro is the only thing missing from my line up!)

Very odd? Why wouldn't it work well with the K-x?

boudou701- it is in perfect working order and is unmarked. I am not aware of any problems with the Kx- it works very well on my K5. Having said that I have never owned a Kx so am no authority. Whilst I am not a big macro shooter this lens has a very good reputation I believe and it is probably the sharpest lens I have. I just don't use it very much.

make me an offer!
