The lens it self is a 43mm thread, adapter given to it from manufacturer is suitable for 52mm to 67mm thread.
To answer your question yes you can with a bit of patience, but it is verry tight.
Seller gives an extra step down ring where you will not use the manufacturer suplied adapter but the step down ring that will make it much more easier to install it on lens with 49mm thread
