This compact M42 beauty is in very good condition and comes complete with original metal hood, caps and case (the case is a little tatty). The focus action is smooth with just the right amount of resistance, the aperture is quick and snappy, the coatings are in very good condition for the age, there is very little dust (much better than most), cosmetically it is very good with just a small amount of silvering on the underneath of the metal focus ring.
Performance is really very good - with a slight softness at maximum aperture but plenty sharp when stopped down a little. The out of focus rendering has a lovely look and colours are Pentax natural.
I'll put some photos up if anyone is interested but in the meantime here are a few snaps taken in the back garden today:
1. f5.6
2. f2.8
3. f2.8- I missed the focus on this one but it demonstrates the bokeh beautifully.
4. f5.6
5. f2.8
6. f8
Price £79 inc P&P
I don't think you'll find as good a copy as this!
