Dealt with the OP and it's all positive 110% from me. Point of note I myself have bought a lens then sold it as wasn't using it, then missed it bought another and then sold again due to the first reason, I think you call it a learning curve?

Might one not expect a forum member to post something, anything, elsewhere in the forum at some point? No posts other than buying/selling is odd surely?

I am sorry but I do not understand the problem, at all, We are all Pentax users, we all buy Pentax gear, we all like a good deal on Pentax gear, the OP is selling Pentax gear to Pentax users on a Pentax forum.

Know one complains when SRS inform us of deals to be had, Some other people buy and sell to further fund their hobby, even one of the mods is a dealer.

If you do not want to buy well that's fine, if you do then that's great, but backbiting comments helps know one.

Also your link to your website on your profile page goes direct to a company website selling a service that has nothing to do with this forum, so throwing stones in glass houses springs to mind

I just want to put the record straight and to respond to the members who are treating a perfectly innocent ad as a personal crusade against a 'suspected trader'. As many members I have dealt with in the past will tell you I am certainly not a trader.
As a private individual I am perfectly entitled to buy any camera or lens I like and to keep it for as long as I want. Yes, I may buy an item perhaps for a specific purpose, and sell it when I am not using it anymore. As you should have read in another of my threads at the moment, "I have realised that I have far too many lenses and it has been pointed out to me(!!) that I need to reduce the number I have." Us compulsive obsessive lens buyers, as I admit to being, often amass far more lenses than we can use and I tried a multiple listing recently (first time I have done that) to reduce my hoard. As it happened I sold one lens but got no real interest in the rest so I have now listed them individually. A trader is, in any case, there to make a profit and I frequently sell items at less than I paid for them! There are a number of members who often sell things on the Forum. Are you going to have a go at all of them? Are they all traders?

You are just persecuting a perfectly innocent private individual for no reason. I am entitled to place my private ads on the Classified Ads Forum as often as I want without comments like yours being added. After all it is "A place to put your private sales and wanted camera adverts."

Oh and incidentally, I have on occasion contributed to other forums as and when I want to. I understood that the Pentax user site is to further the interests of its members and mine is photography, particularly Pentax photographic equipment.

Can we now please draw a line under this.

I bought my K5iiS from the OP last year. As Matt has said above it was a positive transaction and John was more than helpful and very pleasant and fair to deal with. I would recommend him as a seller and would most certainly be more than happy to buy from him again should my domestic austerity measures be lifted at some point
