FS: Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 EX DG HSM - £350 delivered!

Ok folks, looks like I'm selling the Sigma 24-70 EX DG HSM GT MBE GCSE ETC (jesus those guys love acronyms....).

It's in excellent condition and working perfectly with great optics. However like most of the previous generation it suffers with Sigma Syndrome, aka inconsistent AF, which isn't really a problem as a walkaround/portrait lens, but I bought it specifically for use in fast-paced event photography so it's not much use. So I'm going to just stick with primes, since the Pentax 24-70 is comically overpriced. Can of course post some pictures of it (and from it) if there's any interest.

PS; It's worth mentioning that this lens has not had the modification from Sigma so it will leave a small mark on the K1 pentaprism. You can send it to Sigma to have the mount swapped free of charge though.

Surprised no one has already grabbed this, I use mine on the K-1 and it gives pretty good results even wide open. At a third of the price of the Pentax 24-70mm it is a really good buy. The mod from Sigma is a must though, it is free and they even clean the lens and pay return postage.

Glad to hear getting the mod isn't a problem. I've already got a little mark on my K1 from their 50mm 1.4 so I wasn't really bothered, but it could be a big deal for some people!

Sigma will also take care of that if you ask them.

They did the mount on my 85mm 1.4, 24-70mm , 70-200mm and then sorted the K-1 body.
All were purchased used but Sigma didn't even ask about that.

Mr Wennington (Blythman) uses the 24-70mm on his K-1 and as Mike has shown, it's a workhorse optic. If I didn't already have a 24-70mm, I'd jump straight in.
