Forgot to add the camera comes with the original body cap and what I think to be original neck strap.

It does look in great condition, if I didn't already have two I'd be interested myself. If it was mine I wouldn't let it go for less than £100 (lens is £25-30 on it's own).
Ebay BINs seem to currently be roughly £75-100 body only with the odd exception. This sounds about right to me for a good condition (cosmetic & working) example.
Then again if the MX-1 starts to become 'cool', prices could rocket for a while (as they did for cheap Lubitel's & crappy Lomo's ).
Regards,
John.

I must admit and not just because I have it listed to sell, the cosmetic condition of this camera is superb, and that it is fully working as well is a bonus,

Can't help thinking those figures are perhaps a trifle optimistic.
An f/1.7 might fetch £25-30, maybe, on a good day, but the f/2 goes for about a tenner. If it sells.
Typically, MX body auctions reach £40-50 odd. The only on I saw get bid to the amount talked about had just been CLA'd. And came with the receipt and warranty.
There are always a few BINs with much more opportunistic prices, it's true, but do they sell? One dealer in particular always has a few 'Student' MXs at 2-3 times the going rate. I suppose he must get lucky and sell one occasionally or he wasting the listing fees. So you never know!

What kind of condition are the light-traps in? Still good or turning to sticky mush (not at all unusual and an easy fix)? Also any comments on the shutter mechanism? The camera looks great....

The light traps are abit sticky yes but used a couple of films in it this week and they are still doing their job,
Everything else about the camera is fully working, meter, self timer, hot shoe, all shutter speeds are correct in my eyes.
The lens is perfect.no caps but perfect in every other way.

You're right about the f2 lens - sold mine for £15 last month.
I was looking for a lightly used black MX and have just found one in Paris complete with winder & new seals for £150.
The black variant does seem to fetch a good deal more than the standard silver version ...
Mine will sit alongside my black MX-1 ...

Hmm .. maybe so
Replacing the seals might help though, its an easy job, and one that will need doing someday. I look at my collection of old Konica Autoreflex SLR's and see mush ...
MX's that have fetched strong prices have been ones that have had a full service, with new seals and sometimes the hinge replaced with settings verified.
I would have gone for yours had it not been for the fact that the idea of a nice black one sitting alongside the diminutive MX-1 rather appealed to me ...

The only marks on the camera itself is a very tiny tiny bit of paint rub about 1 mm at the rear and a bit of paint rub on the door hinge the rest of the camera is as new condition.
I am looking for offers or someone to give me an idea on what price I should ask, as a quick look on eBay and the prices are all over the place.
