Hi, that's fair enough that you chose to end the listing, but in future you should really plan on leaving things for a longer time to sell. The forum is not ebay - just because you put something up does not mean it will sell within a week. However, if you have some patience, most good items will sell at a fair price eventually!

hmmmm... I've learned that an item is only worth what people are willing to pay, many of the items I've listed recently have gone for far less than I wanted in the first place....

Under £300 for a 300mm * lens is ludicrous especially when
people are criticising Pentax for not making long glass.
Kingfisher is right to hold onto it just as I am holding onto
my A*300mm even though I've got a DA*300mm. The A* is
approximately 11% longer in focal length than the DA*
at about 6m and can be used with TC's and extension tubes.

That lens should work with the 1.4x (one went for £90 on ebay recently) the 1.7x which gives AF or the 2x, might be one for sale on here or I've got a spare.Algernon wrote:

300mm is not long glass in this day and age.Under £300 for a 300mm * lens is ludicrous especially when

I can't remember how an 'M' lens handles on a TC though, the A* is slightly better because you can control the aperture from the camera and I seem to remember it quoting the correct aperture last time I used one.

I will stick with the Bigma until Pentax bring out something that you dont have to attach a teleconverter to get a decent length. At least you get full AF and A contacts.
Not the best IQ in the world but at least it's useable.

Amazing isn't it?, Pentax don't make long glass, blah!, blah! it's been a very long time since affordable new 400 mm glass has been available for ANY fitting.

I am very happy with my Siggy 150-500, at the current prices it`s an absolute bargain.
