For Sale: Pentax-A 100mm f4 Macro










I am selling my Pentax-A 100mm f4 macro for £200. Included are front and rear lens caps. The lens is in perfect working order and excellent condition.

Optical Condition: Excellent. The optics are clear and undamaged – they are no scratches, no fungus and no dirt. There are a few small specks of dust which do not affect the images.

Mechanical Condition: Excellent. The focus ring moves easily and smoothly throughout the focus range with no changes in friction and no grittiness, and the focus does not creep, even when the lens is held pointing down. The aperture ring clicks firmly into each of the half-stop positions. The rubber focus ring is solidly in position and does not wobble at all, but seems to have expanded slightly at one point to cover the top of the number scale, as pictured:




Cosmetic condition:
No dents or scratches, some light rubbing on the barrel from use and loss of black colouring, as pictured:



I bought it used from Ffordes Photographic in February 2011, where it was described by them as being in “Excellent +” condition.
Since then I have used it carefully and it has never been dropped, knocked or damaged in any way. It has been one of my bestlenses on my film and digital bodies and I have taken many of my favourite images with it. The reason I’m selling it is that I recently bought a D-FA 100mm 2.8 macro lens and do not require two 100mm macro lenses.
