Most people think that there were just TWO versions of this
lens.... but there were actually at least THREE.
This is the very early version that won all the awards in
tests, Best Standard Lens Ever Made etc. I have the same one.
The next version came out around the time of the 31mm and 77mm
and had the Green Wart on the side.
The final version was the Vietnam one, but there could have been
others in between.

It is the original silver variety, Made in Japan.
Serial Number: 0006527.
Yes, I have had it a long time and from new. It has always performed flawlessly. Most recently, I have used it on my K5 (now sold) where it really shone. I can supply some sample images taken with it on the K5 if you are interested. I have also used it successfully on micro 4/3. Having said all that, it has only ever had light use and has been lovingly cared for.
Comes with original screw-in hood and push on lens cap, rear cap and original leather pouch. Sadly, I no longer have the original box. I think I discarded it because I never thought I'd sell the lens.
Reason for selling? I no longer have any Pentax SLRs, having migrated to Fuji X-Pro. I know I could get an adapter to use it on the Fuji and I know that one day I might return to Pentax but, as much as I suspect I will regret selling it, I'd rather have funds for more kit than a jewel of a lens sitting there unused.
I will include RMSD and am asking £395.
Thanks for looking,
Lee
