Absolutely brilliant flash guns for macro .. being able to turn the power right down is great.

If you get the clip on wide angle diffuser for these and put a piece
of tracing paper/kitchen towel over it, it makes a great
permanent diffused gun with quite a big diffuser. Better than
commercially made ones.

I was going to use these as fill flash from the sides with passive triggers but I just haven't the time. Life gets in the way of winter projects.

I might swap (with cash either way) for some kind of half decent 24mm f2.8, manual focus pref with aperture contacts.

Come on all you macro heads stop creeping up and scrutinising tiny life forms and invest in some DIY flexible lighting.

OK I'm no strobist!!!, no flash stands and no model available but for example. Quick and dirty test.

On camera Ef500 DG at 1/4 power, stoffen clone
AF200T on right 1/4 on left 1/8 using optical triggers.
K-7 manual 1/125 and f16 left the camera on ISO400 mistake from this morning.

Optical triggers below.
Taken with AF200T on camera set to 1/8 power
X sync 1/180s, f18
I think the voltage is safe.

Taken today using mine on 1/8 power .. just a little piece of plastic from a milk bottle over the front to soften it a bit.

Mike, I think a little light either side would have helped there. You might need another 2 AF200Ts.

Not a bad first effort though

PM Pentax Expert and ask for some tips. At least the Sharpness Police won't be calling to inspect your aperture.

Anyway thanks for the input showing how handy the AF200T is and before the descent of the heavy, yet fair, hand of moderation, the sale is still on and on topic.

Very on topic.

£50 posted.
