Following a bit of success in club competitions I've treated my lenses to a K-5IIs. I am now looking to sell my trusty K-5 which I only bought new from SRS in March last year. This is my first DSLR and I've learnt a lot from it. Ideally I'd like to be able to keep it but I find it difficult to justify simply as a backup (to the wife at least), even though I know I'm going to take a hefty hit on what I paid for it.

The camera has between 17k and 18k actuations and is in excellent condition, functioning like new.

Includes the latest firmware version 1.14.

The sensor is clean of marks (I ran a dust alert this morning and also took a number of test shots).

There are a few minor specks visible through the viewfinder, as is very common with the K-5. Whilst it would be possible to remove the focus screen and blow them out I didn't want to attempt the procedure as they don't really bother me.

I've rarely used the flash.

Includes the original Pentax battery, which I've only used a few times as a backup.

The Pentax strap is virtually unused as after a few days I fitted a harness.

The screens are unmarked as I've used plastic screen protectors from new (note there are a few air bubbles under the top screen protector but this hasn't bothered me and it's simply a matter of fitting a new protector a bit more competently than I've done).

Cosmetically it's in great condition and there are no obvious signs of use. If you look very carefully at the base you can see that a tripod has been fitted. You can also see that the black coating has started to come off on three of the little feet on the base. Finally, there is a very minor scratch mark on one side of the plastic flash housing, but it's barely visible and then only when lit at a certain angle.

Includes the original box and all the accessories. As a bonus I can include the Pentax zoomster style case which I've hardly used, if ever. Note that the box is for the kit which included the DA18-55mm lens. The lens is not included in this sale and I'm not proposing to sell it at the moment.

If you use Adobe Camera Raw for post processing I can include camera profiles produced specifically for this camera using a QPcard203. Using these profiles I find I can obtain colours that are truer to life than from the embedded profile, particularly on deeply coloured flowers.

I will include a copy of the original SRS purchase receipt. It's my understanding that SRS should be able to honour the 10-months remaining on the warranty, although this is a very robust camera and I wouldn't expect any failure during that period.

I'm pricing it to sell at £375, which includes RMSD (next working day). Bank transfer preferred. I would consider PayPal, as long as the buyer pays all fees. I would prefer a UK sale but am willing to sell overseas to an established Forum member, subject to agreeing payment and means of delivery.

Visit my Gallery to see a few of the photos I've taken with this camera (mostly with the Pentax DA18-250mm 'travel zoom' but some more recently with the DA12-24mm). For more see flickr

Apologies for the photos below - they've lost quality in the upload. If you want I can send you the originals.
