I heard about this great deal on DA*300... You are probably right.
But these two lenses should not be compared! The FA is much smaller, full frame and has screw AF (so can be used with TC and doesn't have SDM disease )

Very very rare for the DA* 300mm motor to fail (infact I have never heard of one failing before), it is also full frame, works exceptionally well with the 1.7x and tbh is quite compact for it's focal length. It also doesn't have a body that looses paint if you sneeze on it and came with 12 months warranty.
Anyway .. you asked, I offered a possible reason which tbh shouldn't matter now as the Amazon deal is long gone and the FA 300mm is an excellent lens in it's own right.

Edit: Personally I would re do the third picture, you say there are no marks on the front glass so perhaps a blow over to remove the specks of dust would help your sale?

Well I posted on PU about the SDM in my DA*300 failing 2-3 months back ... and it failed again, after being repaired, last weekend. Makes a strong case for the FA* !

I received an offer for £525 including shipping and paypal fees.
Considering the paypal fees I had to reject this offer.
But £525 including shipping but not paypal fees seems acceptable to me.
And £590 for FA*300 TC Kenko and shipping !

In good condition, only few scratches on the body. Works flawlessly.
