Driving back to the office today from an appointment, I was close to Fairburn and had a feeling it may look interesting so went to have a very quick look (well it was lunch time!)

I think it was worth the small detour - see what you think - as always c+c welcome

Love those frosty landscapes - really great set as Gareth says. I think the first is the pick as well although maybe it could take a smidge of lighening?... or maybe it's my monitor. minor point though. I also like all the duck frozen out of their pond (although maybe that's just because I rather like ducks!?)

These scenes are very familiar

I'm hoping to get down again myself Thursday or Friday, must remember to pack a little more than the Bigma and have a go at some landscapes myself.

Super shots every one

Initially liked the first one most, but I keep going back to "Wasteland". Its fabulous, but not sure why as it is quite cluttered

Lovely set, the first one is beautiful, and I like the duck/swan one very much too. "Hedge" is nice too but could do with all of the rock and none of the ree on the left hand side.

Carl, these are wonderful. So sharp and clear one can smell the frosty air! My favourites are nos.1, 3, 4 and 5. Just when we start to tire of snow shots you come up with a set like this!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thank you all for your nice comments.

Just shows you - planned trips are not always needed - I had the gear in the boot as I had accidently fogoteen to remove it (good job I live in a remote and 'safe' area!)literally just took a 30 minute break to take a few shots.

I have around another 20 or so and I may play around a little with some of them in lightroom if I find time over the Christmas break.

Happy Christmas all

Kind regards
Carl
