Friday Walk

All three shots are good, Roger. I actually love the tin of paint, it's so wonderfully incongruous. That wall is very much my sort of thing: so much colour and texture. You know it might be fun to return to the same spot in summer when that plant is growing strongly.

Summer, yes, I remember...
Best wishes,

Andrew

Boring!
I would generally ignore Mr Waljeka's comments as he has a knee-jerk reaction to anything in monochrome. I am sure he would feel the work of Ansel Adams and Henri Cartier-Bresson was equally boring.

Personally, I feel the can of paint makes the first image, rather than detracts from it.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I love the arched window and its paint pot but is it me or is it slightly not quite 100% straight ?

I think the landscape is good - both in Monochrome AND colour [ and as everyone knows I normally prefer colour but do come out strongly in favour of B&W from time to time ]

You're right, TT.

In the respect that the verticals are, well, vertical but the cill is not level because of perspective.

I'll try & fix it in PSE9.

Et voila!

I think it's the symmetry in the windows that has really caught my eye - i's a gorgeous shot - thanks for dealing with the sill

just wish I could manage stuff like that - one of these days I hope .....

I've just printed that "final" result & it's come up a bit "grey" all over!

I'll up the contrast & get back to you all.
