Welcome Tony,

don't listen to Hardgravity, just write in German...

Well, while a few might understand it the majority wouldn't, so it might be better if you keep it in English.

HAHAHAHA!!!
You guys know my better half Gerri is of Menonnite descent.. apparently she speaks some Low-German...
only when she's mad though.. so I imagine, if I ever bother to listen, I could probably learn to swear in German!

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Hi Prieni,That was great, made me laugh out loud!Contrary to popular belief the Germans do have a good sense of humour though. Not sooo..daft as us English mind you.

Tony,

I always enjoy the English sense of humour (I lived in Southampton for 6 years and even lived through the famous 5:1 football match )

I do know many Germans who have a good sense of humour, but of course I also know the odd one who does live up to the stereotype

Hi Prieni,Funny you should mention the 5:1 event.I was in Rerik(i think thats the right spelling)at the time, and thats just down the road from Rostock!Watched the 2:1 game on Wed also.Seems like England only win when i'm in Germany.Maybe i could get a job as mascot!

Hyram,

yes, I did. I was still working there when the name changed to National Oceanography Centre. It was a good place to work and I thouroughly enjoyed the time there.
