Didn't intend to cause any issues, but I can see where you are coming from.
I just went back to edit (delete) the content, but have just missed the editing window. I shall PM the moderators to ask for it to be removed.
Apologies to all.

Seems to me that a seller can name any price they want, a buyer can offer any price they want. Other opinions or previous prices have no bearing on the matter. If an item appears over or under priced then that is up to the prospective buyer to decide whether to bid or buy. Ebay is not the arbiter of value; The true value of any item is what any 1 buyer will pay for it.

I think it's bad form to post anything negative to anyone's advert unless there is some dishonesty to be pointed out.

If one is so concerned that the advertiser is doing himself a disservice by his asking price, then a PM might be more tactful than a public post.

I agree, you many have an opinion... I know I have on a few occasions but it's best to keep it under your hat. Or if you feel strongly enough perhaps bring it up in a separate thread as a generalised subject. Mike-P wrote:

Just my suggestion.

I've deleted the post as requested, and normally as and when spotted derailing of For Sale threads is stopped.
For Sale threads should be limited to the seller's comments and any relevant questions from interested buyers.

On all other forums basically wrecking the thread by pointing out Ebay prices is not allowed unless the poster is interested in buying the item and then you can only direct the seller to a retail outlet.
It annoys the hell out of me, just wondering how others felt?
Have kept this post off the original so as not to disrupt it even more (which I admit to being guilty of in the past).
