For Sale Set of 3 Extension Tubes SOLD

Hi John,
There's a simple modification you can make to these tubes to allow the the aperture to be controlled by the body. A small area of paint can be scraped away to left of the contacts and this will allow the final body contact to work (there are 7 contacts on the body and only 6 on the tubes).
Here's a pic:

£35 seems a fair price, if I was after some I'd take you up on it, but I've now got 3 sets (only one are 'A' tubes though, same set as yours and they work great, even with a macro lens at greater than 1:1 ).
Dan
P.S. Your sensor really does need a clean. If you want to meet up one day I've got the Eclipse fluid and swabs to do it if you want.

Dear Dan, thanks for the tip I'll try that tonight it sounds like a cool idea.
Meeting up & cleaning sensors sounds like a good idea just need to arrange a time and place. You can always come round to my place most nights apart from Tuesdays. Or we could meet up on maybe a Saturday, I go cycling a lot if the weathers nice and would normally go as far as Maldon or the Hanningfield reservoir / Stock areas if you fancy meeting out on a nice day ?
Thanks for the info, cheers.

I can't take credit for it, I got my set from Mannesty and he'd already figured it out and done it. Dear Dan, thanks for the tip I'll try that tonight it sounds like a cool idea.
Meeting up would be fine, I can't do Tuesday nights either (band practice), but any other night, or over at Hanningfield reservoir (I work for Essex Wildlife Trust) at the weekend would be fine.
Let me know when suits.
Dan

Dans tip does work. I have tried it myself along with a few other forum members and it works a treat.

No I didn't try that trick but Dan says he has the same kind so I expect it will work. I can't try it right now as I've left them at work. If I don't hear anything by Saturday them they will be up for grabs again but I'll wait a wee bit in case he's just gone away for a day or two.

Dan, I think that my PM thing on this forum isn't working. Did you get my emails about the MZ5 etc ? JohnMcD wrote:

Do you fancy coming round on Monday or if the weathers nice ( not wet ) on Saturday doing the Hanning fields or there abouts. I've only been there once and that was because I got lost on my bicycle but I think I know where it all is now. Just email me [email protected] cheers John McD.

Tubes are Jessops own brand K mount and although they look like they've got "A" contacts I've never been able to get it to show any apertures on my DS on any of the tubes so as far as I can tell they only work as K mount tubes.
I have a series of photos taken with the 18-50 kit lens, the first is at its full macro setting, the next with the smallest tube, next medium tube, next large tube and last all tubes together. As you can see even with the kit lens you get very high magnification and no loss in quality.
This one Pentax DS 18-55 kit lens at closest focus 55mm taken with Vivitar Macro Flash. Not bad for a kit lens.
Kit lens and smallest tube.
Kit lens and medium tube.
Kit lens and large tube
All tubes together, pretty impressive for the kit lens ?
