I'm advertising this kit on behalf of a friend of mine who's just bought a K-7 and the WR versions of the two kit lenses. He wants to sell the Samsung kit as one lot so that's how it's being offered - if there are no takers after a week or so then it may be split up. ASKING PRICE IS £500 THE LOT + P&P AT COST (WORLDWIDE).

Everything is boxed with original paperwork / manuals / software and even the internal packaging:

All items are in virtually mint condition having had only light/moderate use since new. The shutter count of the body is 5987 and all items were bought from Park Cameras around two years ago. A couple of shots of the body to illustrate:

I didn't bother unpacking all the other bits but they're all in identical condition. Also included with the body is an additional (spare) battery purchased from 7dayshop.com at around the same time as the camera. The original battery / charger / cables are all present also.

The kit will be sold to the first person to make a firm offer via PM. I will then give you the name and the phone number of the seller for you to sort out between yourselves payment / postage methods. He'll take cash, cheque, PayPal or bank transfer and he's happy for you to collect from his home (Aylesbury) or office (Northampton) if you'd rather not have it posted.

Finally, although the seller isn't a member on here I have sold a couple of lenses on his behalf before and I'm quite happy to vouch for his trustworthiness.

Maybe interested in the body & grip only if price is right, looking at getting a k-x but could be tempted for another GX20

I'll ask him tomorrow but he's not been keen on the idea of splitting them up so far, as it's been nearly a week he may be more receptive now. Can't say for certain though as it's not mine to sell obviously...

Final bump - it's all still available but if nobody has bought it by tomorrow (Thursday 01/04) evening then he's putting it on eBay.

Last chance to buy (effectively) an excellent K20D kit at a knockdown price...

Hi there!

I just saw this ad and might be interested in buying the lot.
There are few questions I'd like to ask first:

Is the 18-55mm lens the newer Mark II variant?
Is the battery charger universal ie. has a 220V voltage rating?
What the shipping charges would be to Finland by insured airmail?

Thanks in advance!

(Sorry, I couldn't send you PM since I just registered.)

Hi there,

Firstly, Samsung only ever did one version of the 18-55 so it's based on the Mk I.

The battery charger is the standard one and is fine for 220V/240V, it comes in two parts (charger and standard lead) and the lead has a UK 3 pin plug attached, so you'll either need an adapter or another lead - should be easy enough to obtain in any hardware store (I'm assuming Finland uses the same plug as the rest of mainland Europe but if I'm wrong I apologise).

As the kit isn't here for me to weigh I can't give an exact price for postage, you'd have to ask the owner to calculate that. I'd guess at somewhere in the region of £10-20 but he'd charge you the actual cost.

I know you can't send PM's yet but I believe you can receive them, so I'll send you his contact details via PM after I've finished this post and you can get in touch with him.

Sale pending soon

I thought I read somewhere Samsung launched a new version of the 18-55mm with the GX-20. It seems I was mistaken since I can't find that piece of information anymore.

The charger will be cheap to fix. The lead is easy to replace if the connector is a standard one and even an adapter shouldn't be too expensive or hard to find.

Anyway, thanks for the help hefty1!

Glad to hear it

You may well be confusing Samsung and Pentax versions of the 18-55. When the K20D/GX20 were launched Pentax updated the design to make the MK II version, but Samsung carried on with the original MK I design.

I've got a MK I 18-55 and it's a perfectly good lens. It won't set the world alight but then nor will the MK II, and if you really want one of them you can often pick up (Pentax badged) ones for around £25 on eBay. That same £25 though could pick up any number of older manual Pentax lenses that will blow you away with their quality!
