Simple really, I sold a lens which was showing signs of fungus which I had not noticed. Don highlighted the fact as is his right and asked for a refund which again I had no issues with. He was willing to send it back to me. I am mortified by this whole episode so suggested he keep as a gesture of good will. It is still usable to an extent and he might also be able to get it cleaned up.
Still at least my shipping links are working well, this was sent on Friday on a Bank Holiday weekend and it arrived on Tuesday.

I take selling lens very seriously. I have been stung twice by members in the other forum and would rather protect a hopefully good reputation here (and there) than mess around with a lens that I don't want or need. Besides, there are no repair places in Ireland who could fix this for me

Just to clarify, Robbie has been an absolute gentleman.
On receiving the lens today, I noticed the fungus and notified Robbie and provided a photo of the problem area that is behind the rear element of the lens (see link).

I also suggested that I would send the lens back for him to confirm prior to any refund.
Within minutes, he had refunded the transaction in full!
I then offered to send the lens back via normal post in order that he could have a go at stripping cleaning the lens and as you can see from the post above, he graciously declined my offer.
What can I say other than thank you ........... I will persevere with the lens meantime and perhaps have a go at stripping the lens myself once I have sourced suitable tools.

Front cap has some wear but body is good and glass perfect. Blades are snappy.
I'll ship via An Post Registered, normally around €10 to UK. This is trackable and insured.
