For sale: Pentax *ist DS camera - SOLD

Body with the usual bits and pieces it came with, including neck strap and manual, plus a set of 4 Energizer Lithium AA batteries (new sealed pack) + a set of 4 NiMH 2800 rechargeable AA batteries + Pentax Browser 3 & Lab 3 (copy). SD card not included.

Without lens: £120 including Special Delivery (to UK address). Will post abroad for an extra charge.

This is one of Pentax's older but better digital SLR models - with a pentaprism and low noise at ISO settings as high as 800. Nice and compact, ideal for travelling.

Mechanically in excellent condition. Focusing screen has been replaced for the whiter and brighter LF-80. Some exposure compensation is needed sometimes, but that was true with the original screen anyway. I will also throw in a cheap compatible split-image screen.

Viewfinder eyepiece has some marks and light scratches - but these are not noticeable in normal conditons. In fact the viewfinder image looks excellent thanks to the pentaprism, good magification and LF-80.

Hot/stuck pixels are occasionally noticeable on JPEGs - but these can be removed with software. Alternatively you can shoot in RAW and use a program like Silkypix that automatically eliminates the problem. Silkypix is great to use routinely anyway.

If the camera stays unsold for a couple of days here, I will list it on eBay and post a link here. (Pictures of the item will be included then as well). But here is your chance to nab it first if you don't like eBay.
