Foggy pics from the S4

Just purcahsed an Optio S 4 and have noticed that alot of the pics we have taken are slightly foggy. Most of the pics were outdoor shots and parts of the picture are clear and some parts are foggy.

Is there someting I am missing with this little camera? Different settings...Need help please

Pictures aren't even close to being that clear... After some reading I think the problem might be that too much UV light is getting into the cam lens. Pictures taken here in Calgary aren't foggy at all, So I am thinking it was too bright for the camera. (Could this be right???) All pictures that were foggy were taken in Hawaii

I have order a CP filter form the UK I am hoping this helps out. If anyone has anyother suggestions I am listening
