Focus on Imaging

I wondered if anyone is thinking of going to the Focus on Imaging this year. I went last year but didn't really have a plan. I know Pentax won't be there again but I'm after a basic setup for a home studio - any recommendations.
Everything is possible - just not today.

I will be there, probably on the Monday. As for lights, I have the interfit Coolight 5 constant lighting. Worth a look

Monday for me, Sunday is a bunfight!

Will those going be using Photozine/Pentax User's stand as a base camp as it's adjacent to the rest/coffee bar area?
Best regards

A question from a yank, is this anything like PDN Photo Expo Plus only the UK version? If so, I enjoy these shows though they can be exhausting, but the information and deals some of them offer is great.

I have no idea what PDN is like, but Focus is the UK's largest photographic expo and the largest annual show in Europe (Photokina is every two years, and is HUGE). Pentax haven't exhibited for several years whereas most of their competitors and even much smaller companies do.

It was once suggested that they didn't exhibit because it is a selling show with many retailers having stands, but then, all excuses are equal!

ePHOTOzine and Pentax User are usually there, but I cannot see them listed this year, I also notice that Olympus aren't listed this year either, which is strange, as they usually have a fairly big stand.

I teach on a Monday. Is it worth going on the Wednesday or is it all over by then?

I will be there on Monday, meeting up with a few fellow Pentaxians and also some Nikonians and Canonites.

If you are interested to meet during the day and swap notes, PM me and I will let you have my mobile number so we can get in touch when there.

I plan to arrive around 11:30. Hope to see some of you guys there.
Best regards
