Focal Length comparison?

If 85mm FL gave the "correct" perspective in 35mm photography, I am assuming that a 35mm lens with a 55-60ish FL would do the same on a digital sensor?

What about a "digital" lens? What FL would be the equivalent?

FL is focal length I presume, al those abbreviations

What you're looking at is a lens that will give the same angle of view on digital as a 85mm lens on 35mm film.
85mm : 1.53 = 55.56mm would be the answer

There is no difrence of digital lenses and full frame lenses regarding the focal length, the only diference there is that the lenses are optimized for the smaller digital sensor and most of them also throw a smaller image so they won't be usable for 35mm format.

I did a comparison once of the FA* 85mm and the DA* 55mm on digital and film on how they will behave regarding the depth of field. link
