Li-ion batteries must be in your carry-on and insulated from each other and metal items to prevent them shorting.

They quite often weigh the passengers who take priority over luggage. I've had to leave gear to be sent on the next day. I left the tripod and lights one time.

If you're carrying anything electrical(battery powered) in your hand luggage make sure it's got enough power to start it up.

I've got a wedding to photograph in Scotland and they are flying me on one of those little Hairy planes.
I've got 10kg walk-on luggage, which is enough for my entire kit:
Two bodies, 6 lenses, two flashes, umbrella and all the batteries and triggers = 9KG and fits in one bag.
You gotta love little Pentaxes.
Tripod, light stand and reflector can go in the hold I'm guessing.
Is there anything I need to know about batteries or pointy umbrellas or whatever the scaremongers have now banned?
