I thought so also. Maybe the tongue of a Chameleon. What would make him just as bad photographing captive species impotentspider wrote:
Nice shot though Clarky, this has got to be one of your best yet despite the fact that you cheated by photographing a "Captive Species"
I shot his cousin a while ago, not anywhere near as good as yours though, but in my defence he was crawling around
Don't sell yourself short thats a very good shot, it could be the twin of my fly And what is that he is crawling around on, its not your tongue is it Quote:
If you ever saw that movie The Fly (the old version) when the fly was trapped in the web at the end and with that high pitched voice calling out Heeeelp meeeee. Well i had that going through my mind and i felt sorry for the little bugger

It must be warm up there in Leeds, 'cos I haven't seen a fly yet this year. I saw some midges the other day swarming in the garden, but I think they might be a bit too small (there's a challenge Clarky).
On the cost, $100 US sounds damn cheap to me. I've just been having a look on eBay and I can't find anyting like that or else I'd be bidding! I think you dropped lucky there Clarky, like Robby from Liverpool getting that dirt cheap Tamron 90mm! I've just bought the Sigma 70mm new for £219 cos I couldn't find anything secondhand that I fancied
