Hi everyone, I have been reading about (flu cards) but as usual am confused, do or will they be able to work with the old K7 or not, as it would be fun to use one in the K3 when it is available and do transfers etc. Thanks Ian.

I think the most you're going to get with such a card in older cameras is some kind of Wifi file transfer.

Anything other than access to the basic filesystem, i.e tethering, needs firmware in the camera to implement this. IOW, K-3 only at the moment.

it would be nice if Pentax released firmware for older models for this, but given they want to sell K-3s it's unlikely

Hi Smeggy, thanks for the reply, when I finally get a K3 I'll just muck about with a smartphone & tab. Regards Ian

I understand they will also act as normal SD cards, 16GB in this case. Only the K-3 will be able to access the other features.
Best regards, John
