Noticed these beautiful orange blooms and although small I thought they would look great with a black background. Shot indoors with side light from patio windows and a black cloth background.

Crocosmia. (spelling)? Nice photo. I never thought of photographing them. they grow like weeds in our garden. They grow from little bulbs which multiply every year. In gardening terminology they are THUGS.
CHEERS Vic.

Montbretia? Actually I like them as plants and the image is a classy one too.

You were correct in the 1st place

Crocosmia is the scientific name for these thugs

Thanks Algi. I thought I was right but John put a doubt in my head. My wife is the gardener I'm just the labourer. The old saying "When I say jump you say how high" translates into "When I say dig you say how deep" and "Build me a new structure for my plants to grow up" I reply "Yes dear, No dear, 3 bags full dear".
Anyway it's still a nice photo by snappychappy. (NAME)?
