Many thanks to all for your kind and helpful comments. For my part, I found the whole process a very useful exercise in looking more deeply at my own images for selection and the feedback gives me creative ideas on how to better them in future. Thanks again !

My mistake - I forgot to tell the new baton holder (Russ) to start next week !!
So in parallel with his first entry, I'll post my final offering. This was shot in the New Forest in November 2013.
The location is a beatiful spot close to Blackwater Bridge, well known for a large gathering of beech trees which develop fantastic colours in the Autumn. That said, I didn't think the colours were as good this year as when I took this picture :

Anyway, your final image is cracking. A nice reflection, pleasing colours and the stream leads the eye through the picture right to left nicely. Not a criticism but i have this feeling of wanting to see more of the trees. But that would probably make the image too messy.
