First time with flash (and hello)

I'm a long time lurker and haven't posted much, but I've been trying to sook up the helpful info on this forum. I bought a k10d about 18 months ago in order to take photos of my wee bairn. But, men being men, i've started to get into the whole gadgetry of it all and got myself a good deal on a second hand metz flash. I tried it out for the first time at a wedding last Saturday - all the photos are on-camera bounce flash using pttl, but otherwise things were a bit hit and hope. I found it all too easy to worry about the flash side of things and forget the fundamental exposure/composition aspect in a lot of cases. These didn't look to bad to my untrained eye, but grateful for any comments/advice.

Hi and welcome, like the first shot, very natural. The framing is out on the second, you have chopped half his head off and the third doesn't really do anlything for me.

Thanks. Agree on the other two - it was an unanticipated intrusion in shot 2, but I thought it was amusing nonetheless!
