First shots with K200D

I like the first one very much.
Suggestion:
If you'd like to try editing, see if you can remove that little out-of-focus branch in the upper left.
I don't have SR, but shots really close or really telephoto need zen-like steadyness. I've trained my heart to stop beating

Ahh, thats where I was going wrong, I took a few shots of the bird and all of them where quite hurried in case it flew away ! SR off if it's on a tripod. The next two seem to have a bit of echo or motion blur on them, The first one (yellow flower) was taken with the 18-55 to see how close I could get

Both where taken with the Shake reduction on am I expecting too much? or shold I have turned the SR off ?
