I think you and that ringflash have quite a future ahead of you. People sometimes cimplain about flat lighting from ringflash, but these are really punchy.

Excellent shots Hyram, almost 3D like. Its a great Flash, best money I ever spent.

The shots were taken with the full ring, so I guess the next stage is playing around with the various settings that are available.
My only complaint about the design of the ringflash is that the cable does not detach from either of the components

But I came across a manual on the Web, and it told me that there is a little button on the control unit under the cable, which will release it.
It's just possible that your flash has the same.

Unfortunately George this is not the case. It doesn't detach, its quite a big cable on the AF160FC and not all that flexible either, My only gripe with it. Hyram wrote:
