First post - some owls

Hello

This is my first post here.

I would appreciate your thoughts on these pictures taken earlier today.

I've moved from compacts to a K100D Super, and have only had it a couple of weeks so any tips would be welcome.

Love the last two, those eyes are quite something.
Could maybe do with a little "tweaking" though ?

The two portraits (the last two) look very good to me. In the first picture, maybe the first two, I would have got the whole animal in the frame. As it is now, it looks amputated.

Otherwise, exposure and sharpness are excellent.
