First outing with K5IIs and 3 Sigmas

Nothing spectacular, just a few images with my newly aquired K5IIs and my Sigma lens collection (I do have a Pentax collection also all of which work a charm.

All images are straight from the camera, no pp or sharpening

#1: Sigma 70-200 f2.8 APO EX, 180mm; f2.8; 1/800sec; ISO100; hand held.



#2: Sigma 150-500 OS, 500mm; f6.3: 1/400sec; ISO 400; hand held, both SR and OS switched on.



#3: Sigma 150-500 OS, 500mm; f6.3: 1/200sec; ISO 400; hand held, both SR and OS switched on..



#4: Sigma 150-500 OS, 500mm; f6.3: 1/800sec; ISO 400; hand held, both SR and OS switched on..



#5: Sigma 150-500 OS, 310mm; f6.3: 1/200sec; ISO 400; hand held, both SR and OS switched on..



A couple of insanely wide shots, this lens was delivered yesterday so I just had to give it go, the building is square with an already sloping roof with it's highest point above the door way, for the second shot I was literally 8ft from the pillar

You must be tired carrying all that heavy glass around

Nice shots. I thought it was better to turn camera SR off when using OS on the lens?

I bought the 150-500 OS from Cliff-p, he mentioned that he used the lens with both SR and OS left switched on and didn't see any noticable deteriation in the images and after testing I concurr so I just leave the OS in position 1 and SR on.

I'll try that next time, it can't make my shots (hand-held) with this lens any worse

Dammit, now I need an 8-16mm lens, just when I thought I had enough.

Y'know, I'm quite happy with my Sigma lenses and could happily switch from Pentax glass. Then I could buy a small tropical island with the savings.
