I love the mono shot. What makes it it the flowing water right next to the frozen ice!

nice. Good to see the lens is getting some use

Maybe a longer exposure for smooth water on the waterfall next time?

Thanks for the comments. I like the 28-70 it is light and quick to focus- very useful on a cold day!

I think that the mono shot works reasonably well, it was my attempt to do less is more by removing the colour.

The difficulty, as always, is trying to catch a moment in time. I saw virtually no one on that 4 hour walk which was great. But how do you then convety the amazing natrual picture presented to you? The second photo will have to stay as memory jogger.

Note to myself must start carrying a tripod so that exposure can be increased.
