First attempts with macro tubes

All of these images(uncropped) were taken with a k10 macro tubes and a smc Pentax M 50mm.All from camera(RAW) to jpeg with very little processing or sharpnening.

I'm not bothered compositionally as these were objects from around the house and garden.I was concerned with how close i could get.Its close.

All of these items were very miniscule especially the last with the purple seeds being about 1mm across.

I'm quite impressed that you can achieve macro images this close for not a lot of money.

They look very good Martin, nothing really bad to say.
Maybe only that the first image is a bit soft, out of focus probable but the rest looks great.
Really like the bokeh the lens produce.

They're good images mate,

Extension tubes (12, 22 & 36mm) and the SMC 50mm f1.7 is the same set up as I have, its a great little set up for experimenting to see if you like it.

The next thing I need is to sort out a slightly better lighting solution that the on board flash.

Keep at it its very addictive !
