It's all a matter of taste 
I like them both, the colours in the second one are a little nicer but the horizon to the right has become a little more distracting - to me anyway.
Nice shot all the same, it's like many photo's the users here could probably suggest so many possible alterations it's mind boggling

Yes, you are right, I see your point. I tried a couple from a higher view point, but IMO the composition was not good:

Yep. Or even a square format shot mostly of the left hand side. I do like fields of sunflowers...

I tried both.... now I cannot decide which I like most!
And thanks again for all the good comments, this motivated me to experiment and try to improve! I guess that is the purpose...
